kananaskis lakes - good shore fishing spots?

I am looking to take my son out fishing to kananaskis lakes next week. Just wondering if someone could recommend some good places to fish from shore? Also, what lures or technique work well out there?

depends which lake you'd like to go too. I would prefer to lower kananaskis lake just because the wind can be crazy at the upper lake and since your taking your son, you dont want to ruin his outlook on fishing. :scared0018:

As for a spot too fish from shore, i would suggest fishing near the dam outflow. Never fails for me, almost always catch some nice trout from that spot. Just be careful.
