Salt or Mineral blocks

I have seen some people put salt or mineral blocks in front of their trail camera's. What works the best?

They seem to enjoy mineral more. And minerals do benefit the deer. Deer Cane and Grims Monster Mix are good too, makes a "natural" mineral lick.

The best I have had was a homemade mix I put together . Lots of info on the internet on it. It gave the deer a good source of all the good stuff instead of strait salt. Straight salt is not the best for them. The only problem of the home made batch was it cost a fortune and I now just use mineral blocks.

I just put out a trace mineral block the other day so I'll see how that works.I know the back yard wildlife fountian seems to work good for me.The monster mix didn't last a night,damn bear :(
