i need a pond or a lake?!

Dose anybody know of some ponds or lakes that i can fish off shore and thats like only a hour from Cochrane,AB? somehing like de witts or winchell lake would be nice ( rainbows, cutts, bulls, browns, pike, walleye or perch is really dosent matter to me....................lol)

Do they not have those ponds stocked just behind the Bow River inn. You cant keep them but we used to have a blast fishing them on the fly. its stocked for the children

Kananaskis is full of them. Also, Dewitt's Pond in Airdrie has been fishing well lately I hear.

Between Cochrane and Canmore is Gap Lake as well as Grotto Pond. Grotto is stocked.

How big is Gap Lake? Will I need a boat?

Gap Lake isnt that big and you wont need a boat. It is hard to shore fish though. You will need to walk around a bit. I recommend finding the culvert. I used my belly boat and caught a 6-7 lb brown in ealry June.
