Got to know an oldtimer near my place over the last year. He is in his 80's and has some cool stories about animals he has shot around the Caroline area. This spring he took us into his loft to show us his only remaining antlers that he has. Pics arent the greatest but wanted to show this mule deer.

Nice mulie. You didn't happen to have a tape in your pocket and get an outside spread, did ya?

It's neat to find some of these treasures, neighbour had a shed full of antlers (and I mean full) when we first moved in, sold there place shortly after. I thought he took them with them The new owners burnt the shed as apparently they thought they were disgusting..... she could not understand why anyone would want to keep dead animal parts........................ I almost cried...

I had a few old mounts that my dad had when he died. I should have kept them but ended up giving them away to some guy that wanted them for a resturant somewhere. They were nice racks as well but I didn't want them around anymore and they were collecting dust.
