Though you guys must know the best trail cam for a resonable price to catch some thiefs stealing fuel. It has to be mounted about 15 feet high on a quanset and about 30 - 40 feet away.

Well in your case probably any run of the mill camera will work for you.
When it comes to getting good quality game photos, thats where you wanna skip out on the cheap ones.
When you do buy one, make sure the flash or IR is effective for your required range.

By far the best trail cam for the money is the Bushnell trophy cam, its takes pics up to 45ft away and it is an IR camera so the flash is invisible.
