We'll be heading to Burnstick on Thursday coming up HWY 22 from Canmore. On the map it looks like heading west of Sundre and then north is the shortest route but I just wanted to check for sure. Is this the best way from Canmore or should we be heading up to Caroline and then south?
Thanks for any help!

Best for you is to head straight north of Sundre on 22. You will see a Burntstick lake road sign(I can look up the road number) heading west. Take this road. It heads west then makes a swing north to which it turns to gravel after the James River. Dont turn off till you see the lake.

The Burntstick Lake road off 22 is TWP RD. 33-4 This is a lot straighter road than taking the highway west of Sundre.

The sign says Burntstick, but maps and the lake is called Burnstick.
