Windermere Area Questions

Heading to Windermere area in late August - is the fishing in the lake any good, or in the Columbia River? Would just be fishing from shore, any advice would be appreciated.

Also, one of the guys I am going with wants to fish as he has gear but does not have a WIN card of Alberta license. Can he get a temporary BC license without a WIN card?

Try the White River and Tributarys, Dutch River, and whole pile of little lakes in the area.

There is a great book out by Backwoods Roads of BC that lists the waters for the area

WIN cards are only an Alberta thing... so when you go fishing in BC u just apply for a BC fishing license. You can buy it online and print it off... it has tables where you log the # of fish caught at different areas in BC.
