I have family comming into town tomorrow and him and his wife would like to go out fishing. We all have spinning gear and am looking for places around Calgary (an hour or so) or maybe along the bow somewhere?

If anyone could point us in the right direction or give us an area to try out any help would be great. We also will have a gps with us if someone could share a coordinates.

Thank you everyone for your time and help.

depends what you wanna catch, but the Bow is world renowned for fishing...

I usually go to Chestermere or PCR for pikes and walleyes respectively. I heard Glenmore Reservoir is pretty good too.

Good luck!

Any where in particular along the bow? I have hear like douglas dale area, fish creek park but don't know where exactly to bring them out?

We are catch and release only so size isn't really an issue as they will all be handled for release anyways.

I've had luck using #7 brown trout rapalas just past the 22x overpass. I park at the far end of Fish Creek Park and work my way downstream. It can get a little busy though.
