I am going with friends to Sir Winston Churchill PP for four day fishing/camping trip in about two weeks. :sHa_shakeshout:

I was thinking of fishing (boat fishing) Lac La Biche Lake and Beaver Lake mostly but we are open to other opportunities as well. How is fishing there lately and if anyone is willing to share any suggestions as to where to fish and what works I would sure appreciate it.

It would be nice to keep one or two for shore lunch.

Thanks

Find some weed beds on LLB and you'll hammer the pike. Hang on tight! Use leeches on a slip-bobber on Beaver just about anywhere from about 14-18 feet. You will likely catch 40+ walleye a night, but you'll be lucky if a half-dozen of them are keepers.

Thanks for the info Kreator. This would be my first time there so I can use all the help I can get as I am not familiar with the area.

Any good size pike at LLB?

There are monsters in LLB. There isn't a day in the summer I couldn't go out and catch an 8-10 pound pike. They can go over twice that. They also fight harder than any other pike I've ever seen. The problem with a lake 40 km long is that you need to know where you're going. If you're interested in a few spots PM me.
