Folks I need some advise.

I own a 16.5 ft Princecraft w/90 hp I mainly use the boat for fishing. I was wondering what kind of Anchor would be best for my application ?

I have a 16 footer and a 20lb navy anchor is very effective for most bottoms. I also have a fluke anchor that is great for sandy or muddy bottoms once this baby grabs it does not move.

I have a 20lb anchor (can be a bitch to pull up), 3ft chain, 100ft anchor rope & drop & stay shock cord. This holds my 16ft Crestliner in place pretty munch in any weather.

I also have a lite blade anchor on 50ft of rope for calm days.

One of the best investments I've made for fishng is a drift net, great for working week lines and breaks.

I have a navy type anchor and it doesn't hold well. A much wiser fisherman told me to use a fluke (read flat blade) style in sand as they dig in better. He had a bigger boat than me and had no problems so I'm trying that.
