Drawn 358 Bull Moose

Drawn for my bull moose in 358. Just need to decide best time to go for the early season. Thinking end of September, but not sure if that's to early to start calling. I think first week of October night be best, but not sure if the rut kicks in early further north. Anyone hunt around Woking that can comment of rut activity???? I've been going crazy thinking about this moose since I put in my draw application. Bought a new Tikka 300 winmag, and am itching to try it on a moose.

I took a nice bull in 358 2 years ago on Sept 27th. I was surprised that they were calling cause it was quite warm when I was ther. Good Luck.

359 has more moose but 358 is i have counted no less then 25 moose in a field at a time in 359..

Thanks for the input everyone. Sounds like the moose are in pockets and rut is typically the same here as everywhere else. Hopefully my 300winmag will bring down it's first bull this year.

Hey Whitetail77, congrats on the tag! We hunt the woking area quit a bit and generally it seems that the first few days in October right up to Thanksgiving are your best chances at getting a bull to respond. The weather does play a huge roll however and a bit of a cold snap or even some snow can really help get the bulls going.
My wife drew a bull tag in 357 and I am really looking forward to seeing her take her first moose. Good Luck!
