Well another great float down the Bow River last weekend. There was 5 guys this time in your group. Three pontoons and one zodiac. Packed to the hilt with enough food, booze and gear for your 3 day/ 2 night trip. We launched at Fish Creek Friday and floated just past Policeman’s flats and set up camp. Small storm came in that night but we were ready with a huge tarp to keep us dry. We woke up to sunshine and great weather for the rest of the trip. Spent the second night on the first island after McKinnon Flats. We partied pretty late that night and never made it on the river till noon. 6 ½ hours later we washed up at Carseland with plans of our next trip to Calgary underway.
Here is my count for the trip, all Rainbows. Friday 5 landed with 4 lost in flight, Saturday 8 landed and 6 spitters, Sunday 5 landed and 3 lost.
I was using rapala’s for most of the trip. cd-7 and 5’s
Here is my big fish of the trip
