I took my family up camping at Wabamun and had a blast, lots of fish caught!! Last night we went out for an evening of fishing which included my wife and daughter. My young lady was spanking everyone which was getting mom alittle upset since she's the self proclaimed GODDESS OF FISH " Will Not Be Denied". So we started trolling a nice weed line and my wife's rod slumps over real hard! The drag was screaming like crazy, she tusseled with this fish for a good 20 min before we even could see the fish for the first time. I knew it was a big one but never imagined it would be a fish of a life time. She finally got this monster close enough to get her in the net!! She measured 51" and 29 lbs and change:sHa_shakeshout:Well as any guy know's when the wife kicks your ass fishing the ribbing starts and goes a way in a day or so" Not Now".So I had to try my best to respond to the butt whooping I just received 45 min earlier. So I set up another troll about a mile and half from were my wife caught her monster, I got tangled up with a nice one of my own. This fish didn't start of fighting to hard until i got it closer to the boat, and I still have not seen the fish yet, so 20 min later and a hell of a net job by my wife i Got my monster. The fish measured 47 inches and 25.5 lbs:) She still Wins!!!:sign0176: Enjoy the Pics......

so what's the deal with every one talking about the pike populations deteriorating in wabamun. It seems to be doing fine to me, i sure hope it doesn't change.

Last fish is certainly over 22lbs. Look at the guy in the picture he is quite big as well, creates illusion of fish being smaller. Now if that was Tony Cox in the picture it may even look like 30lbs:)))

That looks like a great time. Nice fish RiverRat!!! (Sorry to hear that your wife out fished you). I fished Wabamun for the first time two weeks ago. There are a lot of fish in there and some nice size ones at that.
