Anyone want to hike in to Barnaby Lakes next week for Goldens? I'm thinking some time between Monday and Thursday, probably for 1 or 2 nights, bring you own camping gear. Reply here or pm if interested.

I could also go later in the week or on the long weeked. I can do a day trip but would prefer to do a camping trip to get more time fishing. I might go alone but woudn't mind having someone to hike with in bear country.

Short, hard hike but the rewards are great. Don't waste your time in the lowest lake, its a tough piece of water. The other two will provide you plenty of entertainment, cant wait to get back in couple of weeks.

What were you using for fly selection????? I know they are picky! Looks like you were also in a belly boat.

Update: I'm going to travel down to the trailhead and camp there and hike up each day Wednesday to Friday. We could plan to meet at the trailhead around 7 or 8 in the morning. Might cut a day out if the hike kills me. If anyone wants to join me one day send me a pm by 3:30 tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Please include a phone number so I can contact you.

Was just informed by someone who's been there that conditions get very hot on the trail. If you want to come let's meet at the trailhead at 6:00am

Has anyone here ever caught Golden Trout on a spin casting rod, or is it just flys that manage to land those babys?
