Hey, I was wondering about a guieded trout fishing trip me and a couple of friends could go on for a couple of days in the southren rocky mountain streams and rivers like the oldman, crowsnest, livingstone, and highwood. It would be for next July. But does anyone have any suggestions for guides or any websites. It would be ideal to gor for 5 days but not to many trips trout trips on the streams are offered for that long. Thanks for the info.....

Thanks NDN, this looks like a good outfit. Have you ever been on this particular trip at all. Do you recomend which river to go on?

no, but i have heard from friends that used this place under the old owner. my favorite in that area has always been the Livingstone, Crowsnest, and Oldman, and the small tributaries to them. there are alot of other guides, like Dave Jensens outfit click here (http://www.flyfishalberta.com/) , but they are up higher in alberta mostly, and that kick***** Fortress lake im dying to try out. but ill mountain bike it, no way am i paying that kinda $$$$$ to catch a brook trout.:D

You don't really need a guide to fish the Upper Oldman drainage. The Cutthroat and Cuttbows are very willing. There is campgrounds at Racehorse, Dutch Cr. and the Oldman. Take some green/grey drake patterns, caddis, hoppers, adams of various sizes and you'll do fine. The fish in Crowsnest get more picky as summer progresses and you'll have to decrease fly size and try some #20 PMDs.
