Great spinning reels. My dad has a couple at home that are pushing 40 years old. We used them exclusively for Atlantic salmon fishing when I still lived in Ireland.

They are $79.99 for me to get one here to Ontario with shipping and handling and tax it was $100.68.My dad has his for close to 50 years and has never replaced a part or had a problem his and it has caught 1000s of fish.Just got back from town with a new 7 foot ugly stick for it.Also where I ordered it from is out of Edmonton so it will probably be a bit cheaper for you guys in Alberta. They say they got all the original parts for France and once they are gone thats the end of them.

Thats the way to go, I recently got tired of reels wearing out in a few years, by the time the reel wears out the model has usualy been changed or disscontinued and parts are hard to get. I bought a Daiwa BG but plenty of old reel models will outlast the latest 11 bb $150 peice of crap.

The old ones (I have 2) have brass gears. They switched to nylon after that. Would be interesting to see if these are brass or not.

I have had my 300 for 42 years. Never replaced apartother then a bail spring! Ant tat was only ecause it was a little tired. I also have a 400 right from France. Surprising how well a reel runs when you lube and clean it every year.

Yay 300 and 300A, my father and I have 5 between us, they rule,,, If they redistributed them they'd make a killing.

Best Reel Ever Made! Dad bought me one when I was born and still use it everytime. Never had a problem with it.

I learned that they are collectors items now.

The Reel Doctor in south Edmonton had a nice mint condition one to sell last time I was there for around 100 bucks.
