I've been there twice this year and while I'm no expert fisherman, I wasn't pulling em in one after another like some people are able to do. They're biting though. So far I've been getting on a pattern of walleye, pike, walleye, pike. They're all in the same spots together biting the same things.

I've been sticking to the north end of the lake.

We just got back. Fishing was good - caught lots of walleye every day on worms. Tried a lot of different artificals but they seemed to like a worm on a jig head. Caught a few pike but small - not keepers. Walleye were much more plentiful.

We were fishing the south end of the lake.

Cheers

Has anyone been catching any perch?

There seemed to be a lot on my fish finder and we caught one on a rather large hook we were using for walleye but we didn't target them. Others we talked to were looking for perch but weren't having much luck.

fish at the bridge in town. iv caught pike and walleye there. just dont fish on the hotel side shore, its "privite property" as the owner explained lol . if you jig off the bridge its a good way to get the walleyes. watch for weeds when casting lol

You can rent a boat at buck lake bobs on the south end of the lake. Not sure of pricing but he has 12' and 14' lunds available with 9.9 merc 4 strokes. May look into that if ya want to get out onto the lake.

i will look into that for next time, i just got back from a good morning of fishing at the narrows. I landed 6 in total. 3 pike and 3 walleye. 1 pike was about 8 lbs and one walleye was about 5 or 6

you could throw on a pair of boots or waders and walk on the shore line make sure ur boots r wet though then the hotel owner can't do anything.

Heading up maybe tonight. Curious about what part is called the "Narrows" too. More importantly, is there a bait shop in the town? Do they reliably carry nightcrawlers and minnows or should I stock up before I go? Just concerned about the minnows turning to mush by Sunday even in a cooler.

I think Buck Lake Bobs and the Hardware store have bait

I'll be in a green inflatable Zebec tomorrow. Whereabouts is the peninsula? I see several points of land on the map.

Hope to be there around 1130 at the provincial recreation site. Be in a gray and black, side consol Crestliner.

The narrows is on Lac Ste Anne.

Assume by the peninsula he means the provincial recreation campsite on the north end of the lake where the weir is.
