How is the fishing at cow lake? Can you fishing from shore?

Last time I was there we were catching lots of perch and pike. The biggest pike was 41 inch's, perch were all small. As far as shore fishing, its very marshy all around cow so I dont think you can fish it very well from shore. Maybe at the day use site or around the campground if you use waders.

What have you been catching perch on? Many years ago we caught lots on little worms down at grassy lake but that's many years ago. Any perch over 8 or 9 inches at cow?

On worms. The biggest perch we caught was maybe 6 or 7 inches.

We were there in June-couldn't catch a perch (even bumping them in the head with the jig!). Caught quite a few pike but nothing close to legal (they have to be 100cm there). I agree about shorefishing-either the campground dock or around the day use dock is about your only bet.
