A friend and I are heading out to Ya Ha Tinda area for the weekend to do a little fishing. Neither of us have been there since we were kids and we are looking for some helpful info on where we could park and walk to get to some nice camping areas with fishing close by, Either in the Red Deer river or the Panther or any lakes that may be close by. We are well prepared with hiking gear, rain gear etc. so we are willing to hoof it a-ways in and up if needed. Any tips would be appreciated!

Don't forget the bear spray. After your trip, we'd like to talk to you...not about you!

if you have a belly or a pontoon boat eagle lake has some fish in it, it is hard to fish from shore though.
x2 on the bears there are a number of them out there grizz and black

Yea we do not have anything to float on, I heard ice lake is a nice spot but not sure if that would be too far of a hike as i cannot really find any good detailed maps on the area. Hopefully someone can point us in the right direction, as we are leaving in t minus 5 hours!! :scared0018:
