Sunday fishing

I know it is short notice but anyone want to head out on sunday with me or is anyone going out and wouldn't mind some company? 2 buddies bailed on me and i dont really want to head out by myself this weekend. i kind of dont care where i go but i would like to try something new. maybe the highwood or the sheep? or anything in or around calgary. What kind of fly are you using to land pike?....a wet of some kind i assume. Are you using a wire leader?

And Braun that sounds like an awesome time. I would offer to go along but I have to do family time tomorrow.

i decided im going to head outto the sheep/ highwood anyways. a little late in the day but thats fine. maybe ill catch a nice bull

I have been using a wire leader with very tiny tube jigs you get from bass pro. These jigs are smaller than a dime. Color patterns that are working for me are chartruse with red flakes when water is clear, and pumpkin with black flakes when water is murky. The leader I'd the pre-fabricated 20lbs wire pike ones. The fishing spot is along range road 283 right at the railway bridge. Just park along the side of the road by the trees and walk upto the dam.
