Hello

Looking to take the kiddies out for an afternoon of fishing from shore somewhere near edmonton.

Any suggestions on where to go that would be not to difficult for a 14 and 6 yr old to fish?

Thanks

How far are you willing to drive?

Aside from the trout lakes that Sun mentioned, you could also head out towards Spruce Grove and hit up Chickacoo/Sauer for stocked trout, or out by Stony Plain and go to Hasse for a ton of tiny perch :)

I'd also throw East Pit near Wabamun as a great place to fish from shore. The whole lake is accessible if you want some space to yourself.

Thanks for the suggestions

We are far west in the city so the west options are best however we were also thinking of cardiff (been there before)

Just want a place with lots of shore space for the kids to spread out on if they get bored, lol.

Also we just have spinning ords and some spoons and spinners for gear.

The trout will still be there this late in the year or are they usually pretty fished out?

Were actually thinking abou theading up to cardiff or morinville in a cpl hours.....if you had to choose one, which one?

Its kinda windy so im thinking cardiff might be a littl ebetter as morinville is pretty wide open, if i recall??
