Reports from Newell or 40 Mile

Has anyone fished Newell or 40 Mile lately? Looking to hitting one of these two in the next week. Any updates would be greatly appreciated!!

Pike or walleye. It will be my wife's first time out this year, so anything that is biting. not to fussy.

Well not personal experience, but i have a friend who keeps bugging me to get out to newell but with the new baby and all just haven't made it. Says typical summer technique is producing well for them for the last few weeks.

Method: 25 or so FOW, a trolls to 20 rapala minnow (perch or chrome), trolled 100-200 feet behind boat going anywhere between 1-3 mph, depending on the day (sometimes you have to go faster). Trolled along the drop off the runs from jackfish bay to the SE end (past the PP).
