Just got back from camping by the Highwood for a few days. We did very well for the White's, with the odd Cutthroat in the mix. Dropped my camera in the river the second last day, so hopefully I didn't damage the memory card and I can get some pics on here. The White's were ranging from 10" all the way up to 22". The real big one's had cool burgundy patched on their cheeks and the bellies were all scratched up. The biggest Cuttie was 19'" and THICK!! Of course, no camera for that one. Biggest one I've ever caught in there. Oh well, at least I have the memories in my head.
Anyone else starting to hit the Highwood for the White run?? Seen a few vehicles along the road, but not too much river traffic.

Thanks for the updates. I have been thinking the highwood river for a long time and have never been there. I will try once before it closes this year. Could you please share what fly/nymph is working right now there. Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Camera sat for a couple days and seams to be good as new. Here are a few pics from the weekend at the Highwood.

This is after I dropped the camera in the river, managed to get one last pic squeezed in before it crapped out.
