For my friend.
He came out to my place this evening just to set up his stand. I couldn't go with him since the inlaws :thinking-006: were over for my son's birthday dinner. He was planning to put the stand out an then come back but decided to take his bow and sit for the evening -- not expecting much because of all the racket from the treestand setting.
I'm just getting to the coffee part of dinner when the phone rings. He's shot his first buck with the bow. I gratefully ditch the inlaws and head out to help him track the deer. There wasn't much tracking required. The deer had made it just to the edge of the woods and then decided to die. One lung and the heart were taken out. Big bodied deer and very respectable IMO for a guy's first with the bow.
