Elk Hunting Destinations?

Hi, I've been trying for elk a couple of years now and last weekend I went up to the Berland river area by Grande Cache and spotted a nice 6x6 but never sealed the deal:mad0100:, and later that weekend we went to a meadow close to the little Berland river and bugled, and had 3 bulls call back at the same time whitin 4 or 5 seconds after we bugled, but unfortunatly dident find any, anyways I'am wondering if any one has been having some luck finding some elk in an area? I'm thinking of maybe going to the same area or by the smokey river. What do you think?

If you know that there are elk where you were hunting only last weekend,why would you not go back to the same location?

I don't want to discourage you, but the area around the big berland is an area with a high concentration of hunters.
Having said that, the answer that you heard could be from other hunters.

Like the preceding post, if you know an area has Elks than stick to the same place, I would.

My favorite elk hunting destination is between the front legs and the nose - with knife in hand!:)
