I'm looking for a range finder that won't break the bank, but I don't want a piece of junk. I have heard that there have been problems with the Bushnells, including being charged for repairs. It's for ranging out to 500 yds which is where I limit my shots to. I do understand that you can expect to get about half of the rated distance of the range finder on animals that are ranged. $350 or under would be nice but $500 is my limit this year.

I just bought the Leopold RX-1000 at WSS for $469.00, it is great has an awesome very bright display 3 reticle choices, 6X optical etc... Best bang for the buck I found in my reasearch.

I picked up a Bushnell 1200 arc and like it so far. It inexpensive and works out quite far.

i picked up a bushnell legend arc 1200 for 389bucks.ranges consistently to at least 700 yds and does 900-1200 yds not as much but still quite a bit(if that makes sense)good clear view.does ok in the rain.its that grey misty drizzle that it doesnt always give a reading.very very happy with it.nothin like that 450 sport piece of junk i had(good enough at the time i guess and better than nothing).good luck
