A buddy and I are hunting a small piece in 212. The property is essentially a steep brush covered hillside. While walking it slowly today we got about 75 yards from a small clearing and bumped a big cow and delicious looking calf out of their beds. This place is so thick and overgrown that it's near impossible to get in or out of there quietly.
What's the best plan here? Will those moose typically be in those beds at first and last light? There's a nice place to build a bit of a ground blind about 25 yards away and up the hill. There are several good trees for hanging stands as well.
Thoughts? I would love nothing more than a calf moose in the freezer.
