The big bad wolf is dead!!!!

went out on sunday looking for a deer or a bear up in WMW 350 and this old guy walked out in front of me. I was having lunch and he walked out 250 yards down the line. I put my cross hairs on him and let a 150 grains out of my 300WSM Browning X-Bolt fly dropping him in his tracks. Just wanted to share this with a my hunting friends on here.


I am 6,4 and 268 pounds so you can see the size of this dog!!!

Nice for sure. Hopefully not too many wolves around our moose grounds this year...last couple they were thick as thieves...we thinned a few out. The one year I got so frustrated hunting/calling moose and nothing but wolves, I left my 300WM at camp and started hunting with my 243 for wolves.

Sounds like what happened to me and my buddy. Checked out a cutline, and seen a wolf pack. Then all of a sudden a wolf at 78 yards. 270WSM made it do 2 backflips but we couldn't find it, or blood.

Believe it or not it's about conservation, theres a reason why there is an open season on wolves for 9 or 10 months out of the year with out a bag limit. It's been like that for as long as I can remember. Like it or not 100's of wolves have been shot out of helicopters to protect the dwindling caibou herd in the Cabin cr Little Smokey area in the last couple of years.
