Just thought i would show a quick pic of the wound on my Antelope. I assume it is from barb wire, and a bad place on the cape...but its ok...just adds character!! Had him green scored at the SRD check in station and he netted 75 even, , 13 6/8 long, so i am really happy to have gotten him...a good first loper for me!!!!
Just a quick sidenote to says thanks for the many guys who helped me out with tidbits of info...its all appreciated...Rackmstr, Walking Buffalo, Ishootbambi, Grizzler, Dukdog, shooter3456, and my girl Traci, for the company and help!!...its a great helpful community on AO...thanks to all

great job toe. glad to have been of help to you. remember the giant book goat i told you about. i didnt see him, but i talked to anther guy who did lay eyes on him today.....he's pretty well in the exact same spot where i saw him. might have to change zones for my archery tag next year. your whole crew did well. congrats to all. when does your elk season start. i saw a very nice bull a fair ways off the base as well. the guy i rode with yesterday figures 320....i thought closer to 300, but a nice bull either way.

that big gash is exactly why many fish and game organizations are involved in the project to make fences more antelope friendly. the bottom strand of barbed wire is being removed and replaced with a smooth wire at a little higher location on the post. sheephunter help me out....there is another weekend work camp coming soon right?

Most barb wire rubs I have seen on antelope are just in front of the rump, and at the base of the neck, just in front of the shoulders. Perhaps a wound from fighting?

They have hallow legs so they go under fences and that's what that looks like might have got caught up to big to be from fighting.
