Best fish for me, fatty 67" sturg.
Best walter, 31".
Goldeye 19".
All personal bests. other than that a couple tumour filled suckas, and had a goldeye bite me.
Pike - did not fair to well this year, don't wanna talk about it):
Wayne, u must teach me the ways of Obi Won.

Had some good eats, perch especially, watched a few vids then worked a lil magic in the frying pan. First time ever eating perch, was well worth carving out the bones.
Let's hear some summer luvin stories all:)

Cheers n GL out there.

Lots of crappy weather, but some awesome fishing too. My best day ever for pike, 50 in one sitting. Had a few skunk days too, but thats fishing. Found some new fishing holes, met some new friends, got stalked by a coyote, burned off lots of gas, and it was all worthwhile. No really big pike this summer, waiting for the ice to break my record. Caught my first Mooneyes, some decent walleye and pike from the Bow also. Discovered my favorite pike lure for open water, nothing like watching a good sized pike launch itself 3 or 4 feet in the air to hit a buzzbait. Picked up a pontoon after getting hooked fishing from one, and love it. Hoping maybe a boat next summer, if its in the cards.

I didn't get out to do any spin fishing in Canada this summer as I focused on the fly rod but still managed a bunch of firsts for me:

Pike on the fly in Alberta - man that is fun!
Dolly varten in Alberta on the fly
Sea trout on the fly in Iceland from the Varma river

Salt water fish on the fly in one of the bays in Reykjavik - still trying to figure out what kind of fish it was

Mussel on the fly in Iceland

Rainbow on a streamer in Finland
Brown on dry in Finland - It's small but it was still cool fishing under a stone bridge over 100 years old.

Wife's first rainbow on the spin in Finland - she always does this to me, catching the biggest fish and then quits fishing for the day

I tried for Salmon and got blanked still, that's one fish I'm still itching to catch.

Focused most the year on walleyes except a couple visits to police and a visit out to bullshead in the spring. Bullshead was amazing as usual but police has sucked all year.

The walleye fishing has been better in years past but we finished 9th overall in the SAWT this year so that was good. Next year we are going to focus on finishing consistent again on the trail and hopefully finish top 5.

I had an amazing august long weekend on gull lake in the boat. Caught a ton of eyes in the 20" - 29" mark that weekend and had a good all around weekend.

Hopefully the ice fishing season treats me better then the summer fishing and I can hook into some jumbo perch, monster eyes, and some decent sized bows.
