So can you use smelt at allenbill or McLean creek we are gonna try our luck in the am

lol, smelt for stocked trout? if you can find ones small enough, go for it. Yeah it's allowed. Let us know how it goes.

Haven't been there recently but is Allen Bill Pond fixed from the flood a couple of years back? If not, it's considered part of the Elbow River and E.R. regs apply.

I have the regs and the way it reads is no bait fish but under bait fish it dosent say about smelt we have never fished for trout so not sure what to use

MOst of the fish in those ponds are about the size of smelt. So good luck, hope they're real hungry.
