is there a such thing as crown land for pheasants? i have never hunted them in ab, just wanted to get out for saturday. not much time to scout/get permission. any sugestions?

Do you have a dog? Buck for WildLife has a few good places as well as just walking ditches can be done with sucess.

As well both the EID (Eastern Irrigation District) and the WID (Western) have some good land for pheasants....if you have any county maps you can find the land, but its also quite easy to find driving around a bit depending on the area that you're plannin on hunting.

what general area is that in? wmu? are there a few birds?

Anywhere from Calgary east to Medicine Hat has a good selection of WID and EID lands.....and yes...there are good birds on the land....
