Well myself and 2 friends are planning in a 3 night camping and ice fishing trip this winter but have no idea where to go. we would like to be away from most people and able to camp and collect deadfall for firewood. Were thinking kananaskis lake and they usually have firewood chopped there for use if you know where to go. But kinda thinking something more off the beaten path. Hiking is ok in our books as well so that opens options up, just don't know where those options are!
But I would love to hear some suggestions. Just wanna get into a lake and build some shelters and fish! Any ideas welcome!

No, no rv. Small tent or a Quincy.

So you are crazy then? OK.

Seems like you're set to be in the mountains so I can't help. But I was going to say....lots of people in RVs setup on the central/southern lakes all the time when the ice gets 15" or more and camp.
