The best stretch of cateract creek is right where it flows into the Highwood river. Drive south to longview, go west on hiway 541 to Sentinal Parking lot.(about 40 km's) Cross the highwood and you are there. The first three or four kms are very scenic. There are a lot of deep holes to hit. In fact i would suggest that you take all your big streamers and look for bulls.
Heres a few cateract creek pics.http://i917.photobucket.com/albums/ad11/ryanb_71/DSCF4696.jpghttp://i917.photobucket.com/albums/ad11/ryanb_71/IMG_1609.jpg

I think Pierre Grey has been getting overfished for the past few years.

Nice sized brookies are getting harder and harder to catch in there.

The James river (west of Bearberry) gets badly abused by ATV users, heavily fished (near the road and campsite) and subsequently gets a bad wrap in the fishing world. It does hold Brook trout though, as well as browns, rainbows, bulls and whitefish. I personally saw a 16" Brook landed a couple of years ago.
