Next summer i have a buddy of mine that is getting married. He's one of the last out of the group to get married so we've done the bar thing 1000 times. I am thinking of finding a good lake to fish in and rent a cabin for a weekend. We are located in Edmonton. I'm thinking we'd be up to 2-3 hours travel time max. Does anyone know of a good place that we might be able to rent where there are actually fish in the lake? I've googled it but i'm not getting much luck. I'd rather go to a place that has been recommended. Any advice or ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

I have use this site before. We stay in this one at Pigeon Lake last weekend of June for the very same purpose. Caught thousands of fish and did the skiing/tubing thing too. She called it "Rustic" which it was but deffinitely good enough for guys doing a party.

A few of us members rented a cabin on Gull lake last year for an ice fishing gathering. Was a great little place and the people were wonderful. Here is a link to the cabin. Just let Shally know that you heard it from Jeff on the Alberta outdoorsmen forum She will treat you right.
