View Full Version : Beautiful Fall weekend (Picture heavy)

The ice is starting to form finally, I decided to check a few lakes and see what was happening. Ended up at the Bow finally, beautiful day to relax and enjoy the sunshine. No fish landed, but a couple good bites. Lots to see anyways so it was all good. Thanks to whomever left the lawn chairs for us to sit on, they are still down there waiting for you. I noticed the whole site was cleaned up of garbage, again a big thank you for that. Unlike the other spot I stopped and picked up at least 10 bucks worth of liquor and beer containers, thanks for paying for my gas for the day slobs, now you know why EID wont allow camping there.

This weekend for me was all about the fishing, not about the catching, oh well I still had a great time. Saw our first Saw-whet owl , found some fossils, including one big one that I believe is a piece of coral. The fish will just be that much bigger when I do catch them.

Nice :) I got a few fish up here the past couple days...including my first NSR burbot :cool: No fossils or any cool stuff like that though.

Now I'm finally looking forward to the hardwater season...time to get into some of those bit Wab pike and get even with the stupid trout I couldn't catch in the summer! :sHa_sarcasticlol:

yep, the lake and the creek. should be fishable pretty quick with the coming coldspell. easy to check, its 10 minutes from my door

You drove right by and didnt wave! I am going to fish it more this winter, havent really seriously fished it, tried it by boat once but it was too weedy. I imagine there must be a few hogs in there . Plus I can work a 9 hour shift, eat supper and be fishing there before 5:30 pm

Thank you. I had nothing better to do, because the fish were watching the sunset too instead of eating my bait but you can hardly blame them. I can never get used to the sunsets and sunrises here.

We used to do really well on about 4" of ice right where the ditch runs in about 200 yds west of where you took your pics, my grandfather and later my uncle farmed the first farm east of where you took the pics.
