Donating capes?

I have the hide off a whitetail buck dad & I got this weekend and have no use for it. I heard the Calgary Fish & Game Association used to take extra hides for donations and they would sell them to a tannery. Anyone know if they're still doing this?

The AFGA Hide Collection program has been discontinued.

Some taxidermy shops will either buy them or give you credit towards something. You might want to check that out before you toss it.
