Hello just wondering if any one ownes one, has been in or used one of these boats. They look good, seem perfect for the oldman river. Want one for hunting/fishing/camping and such. What do you think?www.madtrappermarine.com/

Used to build river boats in northern bc. Looks okay. 12 degree bottom is good enough for a reasonably slow planing speed. I ran an 8 degree on my own boat. Would like to know what grade alluminum the bottom is, should be 5086 minimum. And if you want to be able to hit a few rocks and survive the more stringers the better. Tunnels are good but can cause cavitation under even mild turns so be sure to test turn in some turbulent water if you want something that performs well. built both in and outboard boats and they both have an upside and downside.

We do use the 50 series aluminum throughout the whole boat. The slow planing speed is about 12-13 mph with two people. The intake tunnel works extremely well and we have very little cavitational issues.
