anyone checked any of the lakes for ice thickness around medicine hat?

Got out yesterday to Rattlesnake, 4 to 6" of good hard ice.

Ones Ive checked have 4 to 8 varying quite a bit in a short distance sometimes. Top half is crusty white ice bottom is good black ice. Onbly heard a couple good cracks the whole weekend, and I was on the ice for a long time this weekend.

Went out to the Snake this morning for a few hours....
5 inches where I was.
Fishing was pretty darn good too.
Eight hits.....six fish.....all were keepers with the biggest at 8lbs and smallest at an inch over legal.
Kept two due to excessive bleeding so it's fish fry tonight!
If I don't get called in to work tomorrow think I'll try it again!
