Anyone have any updates if the whites are still in the shallows at McGregor? Wondering if it would still be worth it to go today.

The whitefish are still in the shallows. But aren't schooling up in big groups. I was there from 1 to 5. Tried everything, No bites for me. But others were catching a few.

Was there Saturday Dec 4 and probably saw over 300 whitefish in the hole, but none of them biting. Tried again this past Saturday and maybe saw 50 whitefish in the morning and nothing after noon hour, again not biting. I've been told that once they spawn that they will start biting, is anyone able to comment on this? Any reports for today??

Didn't make it out today as chores took over :(

Most of the fish have a one track mind during spawn it seems. Occasionally you'll get some that come investigate a flashy object. I've had lots swim an inch or two right by all sorts of lures without even pausing so for the most part they are really focused on something other than food.

I'm guessing that the spawn is mostly over now and they are heading back to deeper water. Anyone fished McGregor after the spawn for whites? It's such a big lake, I have no idea yet where to try for them later in the year.
