Hahaha i love it! My wife has amassed quite the collection of furs from people pretty much giving them away. She's quite happy to wear them all the time and i pity the stupid idiot that tries to get in her face about it :argue2:

Reminds me of a time that my best friend from BC got an introduction to Alberta female sensibilities. We were early season bow hunting for elk and had to make a run into Claresholm for supplies. While in the grocery store he notices the lady in front of him has a fur lined vest (or jacket... doesn't matter) and he pipes up and asks:
"Excuse me, but do you mind if I ask what kind of fur is on your jacket?"
She responds: "Why?! Are going to throw red paint on me or something?"
It took him a few seconds to recover, and then they had a lengthy conversation about hunting and fishing and trapping, etc.
She must have sensed he was from BC.

I just read the interview he gave over on CGN and he sure gave it to PETA, saying that fur and trapping have been an integral part of Canadian history for hundreds of years(paraphrase).
Doesn't matter what you think of his liberal politics he is definately standing up for the traditional Canadian way of life instead of bowing down and being politically correct which gives ammunition to the misinformed and sensationalizing tree huggers.

That's good to hear. It would be nice if more politicians stood up for what they really believe.

The guy told PETA off. That is a good thing. And yes it would be nice if politicians really did stand up for what the believe in, don't you agree? Now having said that I'd trust a Trudeau as far as I could toss them.

The left wing IS more sympathetic to aboriginal claims though, so if you tie fishing, hunting, trapping to THAT, you CAN get a Trudeau to wear fur (his dad used to wear buckskin) or get the Governor General to eat blubber and give the finger to the Euros. IF it could be harnassed, native anti-registry, pro-hunting pressure on the NDP or Liberals could be quite effective. More effective than us complaining to them anyway.

Yeah, next he'll be chewing on a piece of raw seal meat. Kinda like his pop's fake canoe trip, in the Arctic. The buckskin was part of that charade.
