I can smell the scent of cucumbers through the pictures!!!! Nice fish, congrats, 12 feet is the norm for the early white bite in that area of the lake. You should boil those up and debone them and turn them into fish patties topped with onions that have been soaking in vinegar for a few hours......yummy

Nice Fish! I am heading to Gull on boxing day for some whitefish. It is on my bucket list this year so I am going to try different parts of the lake if I am not having much luck.

yeah was a pretty good day considering it was the first whitefish trip of the year. i was around birch bay if you know where that is. halfway or so down the lake on the west side. had 3 by the time the sun had risen and my limit by 3pm. only seen about 8 or 9 whites and they all took a run at me so i guess the planets were aligned or something for me! didnt see a perch or get a touch on the tip up tho. so it wasnt that great i guess but the smoker is full for xmas!
