Hey guys I have some tags for eyes . Has anyone been out there lately? How is the ice? Is there a better location on the lake to try for them in the winter?

ice is 16" (Dec 28th).

Fishing was slow ... never had a sniff. Lots of green (algae) water.

Ice is 16 inches, no problems driving on as there were about 15 trucks at one point on the ice. Good access point would be the road by sunset beach. Nice and flat with a good approach.
We managed to catch 10 pike with the biggest being 12 lbs. Smallest was just over 5 lbs. Lots of algae in the water as Big Rack Lover has eluded to already. Weather was -12 for the most part and cloudy with overcast.
