Based on what I have been reading here and there on the forum, am I correct that you can't use a power auger on all lakes?

Some lakes forbid the use of gas engines...... On a boat. But im pretty sure you can use a gas auger anywhere.

never heard of that one before , no exhaust touches the water , don't see why they would ban power augers anywhere .

would not surprise me at all if they didnt allow them on half moon either. I havent been there in years since they stopped me from launching my seadoo there, not even sure there are fish in there even, but they seem to be grumpy out there.

There is always the guy who spills his gas all over the place trying to fill it....

I use a hand auger. Only because I'm cheap, and like to pack light.

Not saying it's a justifiable reason for a ban, but I have walked by a few places where people had been fishing that reeked of gas....

that could be the reason for the ban in the future... seen that too...
people should be a bit more careful and fill up at home... :thinking-006:
