Ice conditions, access, success stories?

I got a text from my friend who lives in Champion said they caught 3 fish over 25 on the weekend. Hard to say for sure if that is true...but they always fishing just north of the launch on that large flat. They stayed the night on the lake which I assume means the ice is thick enough for a 1/2 tonne and trailer.

Ice is plenty thick around the launch for driving.
I haven't had any luck at the boat launch area.
Been there 3 times and have only pulled out a single small pike.
Others around me have only pulled out a couple.

I have heard that other areas of the lake are producing.
I haven't found them yet though.
