If i knew how to post pics on this thing i would post my pic off my blackberry.

I started southwest and caught the whites there, kept moving north to find and follow the perch. Saw lots of action almost everywhere i stopped. saw half dozen really nice whites, probaly 6+lbs swim by, and lost another dandy pike that attacked my perch rig. Been a long time since i seen that kind of action from gull.

My brother drew first blood this morning with a 10lb pike. Then i one upped him with a really nice white and a couple of perch within a 20min window!

Then it was game on for the rest of the day, poor ice auger sure got a good workout!

That is my brother's 10lb pike we go first thing. By the way i take a size 14 boot. the pike is actually 28" long. people who know how big i am will know the size of boot i have, and i ALWAYS try to put a size refernce to my picture, without it you have no idea about its dimensions. The 15lb was caught just before dark, i tried taking a picture of it with my blackberry, but all it showed was a black steamy mess.

28 inch pike from gull usually weighs around 6 pounds.

Good catch and great day out there browning. Hats off to you! So thats the important words first.

As for your guesses, please don't guess my weight as you are liable to overstate me as a 550lber!! Since you bring up reference points, if that is a 10 lb pike, how much does that white weigh? How much for those perch too?

Just having fun though. A good tall tale complete with pics is always awesome no matter what.

Cheers!

haha compare the size of whitefish to the pike that must be at last a 10lb whitefish to say thats a 15lb pike

That pike in the picture was my brothers, i took that picture earlier that day to show that i out fished him that morning. the larger pike i caught was just before dark and could not get a pic of him with my bb.

anyways i could careless about pike, i can catch them anytime i want, it's the jumbo whitefish that i was excited about.

But carnage is right. Thats a 5-7 pound fish.

Until i got a digital scale this year i grossly over estimated the weight of pike its a common thing for most of us to do.

I hadnt seen a 15lb or 20lb pike in person until this year and i can guarntee the pike in that picture isnt 15 or 10 pounds.

oh well, those are the guys that like to talk trash and spread negative threads instead being positive and productive sportsman.

I guess next time i'll call them to bring their tournament scale to my ice shack and get the official weight before i post anything else i catch. Thanks!:)

Never said I agreed or disagree with the weights posted. I know what a 5, 10, 15, 20, and 35lb pike looks like, I just don't feel the need to comment on what a gent decides to post on here. He caught some nice fish and posted them up for us to enjoy, not to take a brow beating because his weights were off.....
