Gull today (Jan 8)

Me and a bud went to gull today in the beautiful weather. The first spot we tried sucked. The guy I was with seen 2 fish, I seen nothing. We moved like 50 yards and set the tent up again. After about an hour of jigging near the bottom I brought my line up to the bottom of the ice and a whitefish came and inhaled my wire worm. I set the hook, pulled the line another 2 feet and the fish was on the ice :lol: Seen a pike cruise through, then a while later the perch moved in. I caught 1 tiny one and Matt caught a 10" keeper. My whitefish was 18", pretty much average for gull. I seen 2 other whitefish closer to bottom after wards but they wouldn't bite. Kinda nice when you hook onto a white just under the ice, it takes like 2 seconds to land it :lol:

nice white moose, still haven,t made it to gull yet , to much work not enough play , prob. won,t get there til febuary so save me some will ya.

nice white and perch! Gull has some monster whites. i usualy fish sylvan for them, compared to the Gull white, sylvans are minows!
