Planning a trip to do some fishing in Costa Rica, and was wondering if anybody could give some tips. Good or bad would help. Can a guy do a day trip by just going to the docks like Mexico? Also what side would be the best. Thanks

You're asking what side of costa rica is good for fishing or for the resorts? Because they are completely different.

Thanks for the link, I will check it out. Ya were looking of a nice place to stay as well as a couple days fishing. The on line charters seem pretty pricey but will have to see.

I'm headed to the Paradisus Playa Conchal in about 3 weeks! :sHa_shakeshout:
This is West coast, towards the North

I'll let you know how many fishies are under the water....

I think the caribbean side of costa rica is terrible with regards to places to stay and quality of resorts. Just what i've heard though. The west coast side is great but I don't know what the fishing is like.

I went to costa for my honey moon 5 months ago. I brought a travel rod and set myself up with a good slip bobber set up. As well as walker weights and phelps floaters. Did pretty good over the week. Just used fish meat from the market. Until u can catch a few small ones for bait.
