Hey everyone, im wondering what the lakes around here (Edmonton and North) are like for getting on after all this snow we have received over the last couple of weeks.

We were on Sunday at the peak of the snow fall. Had some issues getting off the ice. 3 minutes on the shovel and we were gone!! The only reason we drove on is because there were two decently equiped 4 X 4's. And all the necesary gear to get un-stuck. And were a little dumb sometimes.

*way* too much water on the ice to even think about trying it again now though. I'd say a good week at least before it freezes up enough to drive on again...still 3" of water on the ice and more in spots. Consider walking on if you're going to go.
