Beautiful Day at Carburn

Had a chance to get out to Carburn park last Saturday and try my hand at ice fishing for the first time. Couldnt have asked for nicer weather...kinda warm, not much wind, and even some sunshine. Went with a buddy of mine from work and met up with some other nice people also taking advantage of this picture perfect afternoon. They were nice enough to even let me use some of their equipment which gave me a better idea of what I need to gear up with in the future. After a couple hours of swapping stories, tactics and lies a bald eagle even joined us for a bit and did a lazy flyby. To top it all off, nobody in our group needs to buy any bait for the next outing as the pike and perch were considerate enough to not bother us all afternoon.
I had a really good time and cant wait to give er another go!
